Similarities:
Both articles refer to a company that delivers bagels, and obtains their data from these companies in order to analyze it.
Differences:
Freakonomics speaks of personal experience and that is used to create and analyze data. The excerpt is told as a casual story and does not have any organization or format. On the other hand, "Economist sells bagels" has a more formal nature. The Second writing is very different than the first because it has an abstract, page numbers, organization, and the author uses quotes to back up his/ her findings. It seems to have more reliable research, and uses specific terms rather than just documenting their observations like the first writing.
